Nicholas Carter (cricketer)Nicholas Carter – Only person not known as "Nick Carter". Unreal7 (talk) 16:04, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Not the case : the British Army's Chief of the General Staff is known as "General Sir Nicholas Carter" since he got the top solider job in 2014. His article hasn't been updated, but "Sir Nick Carter" is now less common in the press. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:12, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but so what? The point is the top UK soldier is the obvious first topic for both "Nicholas Carter" and "Nick Carter". This shows again how important it is to check GNews and GBooks before making moves or proposing RMs. But even without checking a cricketer who played four matches for Cornwall 20 years ago is not going to be "Only person not known as Nick Carter". Every Nick is a Nicholas. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:30, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose he's not a clear
Nicholas Carter as a redirect to Nick Carter, as that's the easiest way for people to find the correct Nicholas/Nick Carter. A cricketer with 2 List A appearances is very unlikely to be the most common person people are searching for. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:55, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply
