Someone keeps deleting my entry on the ethnography Nimruz province and its capital, Zaranj, to replace it with erroneous, Pashtun-centric misinformation. Please stop. You can change the information on Wiki and try to delete the existence of other ethnic and religious groups in that country, but unless you intend to also engage in ruthless ethnic cleansing of the non-Pashtuns groups as well as the followers of the Shia branch of Islam, then your vandalizing these pages will mean nothing except perpetuating ignorance about that country. Inuit18 said in his edit that Nimroz is a Persian word and then removed Pashto. However, the native spelling of a name should generally be included in the first line of the article. (see fourth paragraph of Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English)). As Persian is not spoken natively, so Pashto (or Balochi?) spelling is supposed to be used there. 119.152.246.39 (talk) 14:23, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

it does not matter which Language is spoken in this province. Nimrooz does not exist in the pashto language so it is not just to add Pashto. according to your own edits there are Tajiks in this province so Persian is definitely spoken in Nimrooz.--Inuit18 (talk) 17:59, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Naming conventions (geographic names) explains that "Relevant foreign language names (one used by at least 10% of sources in the English language or is used by a group of people which used to inhabit this geographical place) are permitted and should be listed in alphabetic order of their respective languages, i.e., (Armenian name1, Belarusian name2, Czech name3). or (ar: name1, be: name2, cs: name3). As an exception to alphabetical order, the local official name should be listed before other alternate names if it differs from a widely accepted English name."

By your logic, Urdu should be replaced with Persian in

's article page.

you cannot compare Pakistan with Nimrooz. Pakistan -Pak and istan- exists in the urdo language while Nimrooz doesn't in the Pashto language. Nimrooz is not even a Pashto word why should Pashto be included. please be rational for e moment. Persian should be included because Nimrooz is a Persian term. This article is yet another example of Wikipedia being hogged by Tajik/Farsiwans.. If we look at the break up of population along with population density of each district of nimroz we see that Pashtuns are significant in number and Tajiks are just a meager minority, yet it was made sure that Tajik numbers were somehow reflected in Nimroz Province as well. 58.27.230.123 (talk) 12:43, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
