Sayoc's role as "Trump superfan"

The current article barely discusses Sayoc's role as a Trump superfan, which is detailed by the NYT in this article. Viriditas (talk) 22:32, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, the Guardian writes about further details about Sayoc's obsession with Trump in the court case that is not covered here. Viriditas (talk) 00:17, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Occupational Titles of Individuals Mentioned

I noticed when reading this article that some figures are referred to by the occupational titles they held at the time (e.g. Former Vice President Joe Biden), and originally thought I should update this. However, after not finding any guidance on this in the Manual of Style, I thought I'd ask more experienced editors instead. Is it common practice to refer to figures in historical events by their occupational title at the time of the event, or the latest/highest title held? Any feedback would be appreciated, as it will help me contribute to Wikipedia in a constructive manner. BigBoiiLeem (talk) 08:29, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

BigBoiiLeem, occupation at the time seems to be the accurate method. Curbon7 (talk) 15:28, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome, will keep as is then. Thanks for your advice BigBoiiLeem (talk) 12:00, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
