New section

I have been to the Aquarium at Ocean Expo Park, and I don't see how it is the SECOND LARGEST??? LOL it is the second largest TANK? Because I feel that the aquariums in Baltimore and New Orleans were better when I visited them. This Aquarium is nothing but one big tank and a few outside with turtles and manatees and a dolphin show, that also wasn't that great...

1) The Churaumi aquarium was the second largest when I last checked. 2) The Churaumi was the first aquarium to breed manta rays in captivity, the first aquarium to house more than one whale shark in one tank, and it has the one of the world's best reef exhibits. 3) The Baltimore aquarium is, in my opinion, not as good because it has very few large, saltwater tanks. it only has an impressive number of freshwater tanks, and an aviary on the top. also, sign your posts pleaseKendoSnowman (talk) 04:40, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@KendoSnowman: That comment was the first edit to this talk page, back in 2007, by an IP... I don't think you're gonna get a response. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 05:22, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Biggest Claim

From the [Atlanta] GA Aquarium site they are careful to claim that theirs is the largest when measured by gallons of water and by square footage. On both accounts they claim to be the largest in the world.

But, further down on the same page they distinguish that theirs is the largest INDOOR exhibit of fish in the U.S.

I suggest that both the [Atlanta] GA Aquarium and Churaumi Aquarium entries state that they are the among the largest aquariums in the world. Maybe in a manner similar to how the largest buildings and structures in the world are currently being handled?

More Information

Judging simply by the Japanese entry of this article, there's a lot more to be said about this, in addition to the surrounding Expo Park. I for one, as someone who only remembers this from their military brat childhood back in the early 2000s, would like to know what is included in the Japanese entry that can be added.

The Expo Park is huge, obviously but I can't find a lot of good information on it in english sources. It was hard enough to find the little information on the history. If anyone has a good source, I can add more in.--NortyNort (talk) 19:45, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2nd largest

I do not believe this is the world's second largest saltwater aquarium. The Living Seas' tank at EPCOT in Disney World (USA) holds 5.8 million gallons. Considerably larger but less than Atlanta. They also claim the title of 2nd if you do the behind the scenes tour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.233.253.186 (talk) 23:08, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. It is not the second largest. I just updated the page to remove it. Ncontorno (talk) 17:29, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okinawan House?

The picture in the bottom right of the article IS NOT a picture of an Okinawan House. While it is an Okinawan style building, it is not a house. Can't tell exactly but judging by the buckets it looks like a small spring with a structure built on top of it. Either way, it's not a house and the description should be changed. External links

A couple of comments about the YouTube videos that there now seems to be an edit war over. You can read the guidelines for the External links section a

here. As with most things on Wikipedia, these are open to interpretation, and there "is no blanket ban on linking to YouTube or other user-submitted video sites" in External links, though they need to follow both the guidelines for and against linking that are shown on this same page. The second video will not display in my FireFox as it requires Flash (see #8 under Links normally to be avoided). In general, my interpretation of this and other guidelines is that photos and videos used in articles should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons in an appropriate format with appropriate licensing, as this explicitly addresses both display and copyright issues. It also lets you put the video directly in the article, next to the material which it supports. Please note that just noting something like "authorised to be used" does not address copyright or licensing issues. If you need help with the Wikimedia process, I've never contributed videos, but I have contributed photos and can probably help. Don Lammers (talk) 15:49, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply
