Numerous accounts are attempting to restore a poorly written and unencyclopedic version. This edit summary suggests that one or several people with a conflict of interest are involved [2]. Please remove this protection from me please this is harassment. I did an extensive amount of sourcing and referencing work only to be rejected and blocked off for doing what Wiki HQ has requested I do. This is such a mess of a platform. Putting folks to do this hard work only to get slapped in the face. What kind of justice is this in this Wiki Nanny State. Is is because I am republican. Sounds like Wiki IRS! • Kudos for the dramatics, working in IRS and Republicans and everything is very topical. Unfortunately, that has nothing to do with the article.
  WP:BURDEN is always on the person who wants to add, as our goal isn't to provide quantity of information, but quality and reliable information. Looking ever so briefly at the material you added, I can understand why there are concerns. I suggest you discuss what you want to add with Bbb23 in a polite fashion, and I think you will find he is quick to help those that just treat him with the same respect he treats others. You don't understand the policies here, which is fine, it takes a while but they exist to insure the highest reliability in our biographies. Until then, you would be wise to just be polite and ask for help, and be patient. Otherwise, it will be hard to find people willing to help you. • I think that is part of the problem, you view Wikipedia as a social media. We are an encyclopedia, no different than Encyclopedia Britannica or the old World Book encyclopedias I grew up with in the 60s/70s. We aren't a blog, nor a forum either. I would note that we are also a non-profit, which really makes us different than the social medias. For as long as you think of Wikipedia as a social media, you will be disappointed and frustrated. We aren't and we never will be. You might read WP:Five pillars which is short and explains a bit. You are welcome to warn anyone, but you might note that this strictness is why Google ranks us so high on every single search for every single biography. The subject of this article is a political strategist and analyst, yet his written work on the subject is being edited out:

McGee predicted big wins for Republicans in the 2012 elections.^[1]

We need to expand coverage of his work and provide access to it for our readers not eliminate it. ANd whether what was written is favorable or unfavorable should not move us. See wp:NPOV

An editor (McGee?) has also been taking out the sourced content that He McGee was Chairman & CTO of Meshless Solutions, Inc. An explanation would be welcome. Candleabracadabra (talk) 16:50, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

• I can't speak for his edits, but just adding a single source line that he failed to properly predict the outcome of an election is not neutral without more context. It was more of a score card than prose. If included with some context as to why that fact is important, I wouldn't have any issue with it being included. • Agree with Dennis Brown on the neutrality point. McGee has published multiple books and had dozens of TV/newspaper interviews in which he made many different analyst points and predictions. Picking one negative prediction to highlight does not appear neutral. With regards to the 'Meshless' position, that is not substantiated by any other external references, search for the company online, or even the person's own website. rotavonni 03:30, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Based on some different search engines and queries, he's written six books that I can tell (five here http://www.amazon.com/Oliver-McGee/e/B008NC1AJ2) and the other is "Building Systems Analysis and Design-A Practical Overview of Structural Engineering Considerations (with Michael I. Owings)". 6-9-20 I am currently a student at Texas Tech University and the staff has informed us that Oliver McGee died yesterday due to heath complications. Please edit the article to state his death.
