Former destinations

Former destinations are considered un-encyclopedic and

unverifiable and should not be included in Airport articles (see discussion and agreement reached at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airports#Former_routes
. Any notable routes which relevant references should be included in the history section of the article.

I have therefore removed the former destinations section from this article.

New Destinations

I've added the destination Philippines (Manila - Ninoy Aquino International Airport) in Oman Air destinations, but i've found that Wiki deleted it because it was reliable source, now i will give the information about the destination going to Manila

Oman Air:

Muscat to Manila - Commencing in August 2009

Ninoy Aquino International Airport - Oman Air - Muscat Muscat International Airport - Oman Air - Manila

Note to Wikipedia: Wikipedia, please give me a chance and believe me that this is not a reliable source, if you want me to prove you, i will give a link of the information: http://www.timesofoman.com/innercat.asp?detail=25088 And please never delete the details i wrote on the three articles: Muscat International Airport, Ninoy Aquino Airport and Oman Air, i repeat that this is not a reliable source. And the details when the flights will commence is in the Oman Air office. It is August 2009, and please never delete my details because i've all the sources are from the news. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tennis editor32 (talkcontribs) 31 May 2009

  • Hello. Please kindly review the Wikipedia policy on
WP:V with respect to sources. The source that you mentioned only mentions a meeting between the Philippine president and an Omani official. The airline has not given an official announcement regarding the route, and therefore, please do not add this information in Wikipedia until the airline has actually announced that this route will commence. If the route is already loaded in official timetables, then all the better. But at this point, this is purely speculation. Cheers. Elektrik Blue (talk) 14:56, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply

    • Hello. As of now, there is no official announcement from the airline. So it would be wise to not include the information for the moment, until the airline makes an official announcement, and that the route is actually loaded into the official timetables and can be independently verified. • I understand, starting now, i will be visiting Oman Air web everyday to check all details and info, so please accept my apologies and yes and i will be adding more references before adding additional details. I am really sorry. Tennis editor32 (talk • contribs) 31 May 2009

The logo on this article is the older version, the logo now has solid colours and does not have the faded colours which were meant to reflect the smoke of frankincense.

appreciate if this is updated as I don't know how to update images, the new logo can be found on their website www.omanair.com --83.244.170.211 (talk) 13:47, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rumored B787-9 and A350-900 orders

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have recently removed 13 B787-9 orders from the fleet sections. Until the aircraft are officially ordered (and not just a singed letter of intent) we can't add them to the wikipedia page as those are still just rumors and the number as well as the aircraft type are subject to change until the official announcement. So please only add orders if you can confirm them by the order books of the construction company (Airbus or Boeing for example).

Historic Fleet

Bombardier Dash 8 Inaccuracy: I have recently edited the Bombardier Dash 8 reference in the Historic Fleet section. Oman Air never had this aircraft in its fleet. They had the Fokker F27 (as mentioned in the History (Beginnings) section of the article. A quick web search will reveal images of Oman Air's Fokker F27 aircraft from this time period. [1]

Add classes of service with pictures. People would get to know about the airline in a better way (if they have no idea regarding the airline) Thank you. 89.147.161.216 (talk) 21:09, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
