Not even a biography

This reads more like a family record than a biography. Let's hear about what made him notable, not who his children were. 24.6.66.149 (talk) 12:39, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it does need improvement, but I will argue that he is notable just for being a steamship captain who worked for a historic transportation company, the
BC Express Company, during an important era (rail construction in British Columbia) and therefore helped build several communities. Mostly, the bio is too short because the factual information that I have found is too short. If original research were allowed, I could tire your eyes with all the pioneer anecdotes that I have come across, but none are published and verifiable like those in the four books that are referenced here. Locally, his wife's family, the Seymours, are also a notable First Nations family and are a large part of our pioneer history. If no one minds, I will remove the notability tag, as I believe there is no question of it, but the article could use expanding.CindyBotalk 05:07, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply
