Notability / verifyability

The Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame doesn't seem particularly notable to me, but more important, the subject of the article isn't listed on its web site. Bongomatic (talk) 07:50, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The link you provided is to Pro Wrestling Illustrated's website however the Hall of Fame in question is the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame which is separate to PWI (although PWI recognises the Observer Hall of Fame in its publications.) If you don't find the Observer's Hall of Fame notable I suggest you comment on that at its own article. My personal feeling is he meets the requirements at WP:Notability (people) as "the person has received a notable award or honor" and "has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field." I've also added references to the article. Poker Flunky (talk) 18:12, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't seen a response so I'm going to remove the notability tag from the page. Poker Flunky (talk) 09:21, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
