Melbourne Sports Centre – Parkville → Melbourne Sports Centres – Parkville – As silly as it sounds, the official name of this facility is indeed "Melbourne Sports Centres - Parkville", where "Centres" is pluralized. It is referred to as such by all of the linked external resources, including the facility's own website at https://melbournesportscentres.com.au/venues/parkville/ which says, "Melbourne Sports Centres – Parkville is one of Australia’s premier sporting venues..." Note the use of the singular "is" to refer to the facility itself, which is considered a single "centre," even though its name includes the umbrella branding "Melbourne Sports Centres." Melbourne Sports Centres – Parkville → Parkville Stadium – I came across this page the other day and thought how strange the name sounded, and did a bit of digging to see if that was actually what Melbourne Sports Centres was referring to the venue as. Their about us page actually refers to the venue as Parkville Stadium, one of its three venues alongside Lakeside Stadium and MSAC. The official Facebook page also refers to the venue as Parkville Stadium, as does the Victorian Government Directory (who funded the venue's redevelopment) and multiple contemporary reports.
