I have deleted a reference to the state governor as being a component of the parliament. In case anyone should see this as controversial, here is a quote from the Western Australian Year Book 1979, page 114. The Crown, represented by the Governor, and the Parliament, comprising a Legislative Council and a Legislative Assembly, constitute the legislature of Western Australia.'
