Why undo an update well-referenced?
Is there any good explanation of why this update (below) has been undone? I remember a top Latin scholar once telling us that he doubts if anyone today thinks in Latin; one must translate their thought to express it with the formality of this "dead" language. Wouldn't adding to this quote, rather than eliminating it, be the more honest approach?
"Whether Pope Francis will pursue this initiative of Pope Benedict remains a question. He has chosen to use Italian as a language that people in the Curia actually speak and Vatican reporters can understand. From the start Pope Francis' elocutions have been in Italian, not Latin."[1]Jzsj (talk) 01:08, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Benedict also spoke Italian. There is nothing new here. There is no impact on the Pontifical Academy. "A Cardinal" is not a source unless he has a name. The linked rumor web site never mentions the Academy. This is off topic. Rwflammang (talk) 03:33, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
