Why should this be its own article?

I'm really not seeing why this should be its own article instead of merged with the

Agreed that this article should be merged, per Flyer22 Reborn.

Could someone please make this article better? Thanks, 184.19.98.82 (talk) 21:04, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reverse current redirect

"Pornographication" is not the correct term for the topic, which is pornification: the mainstreaming of porn.

  • Barton, Bernadette (March 2021). The Pornification of America: How Raunch Culture Is Ruining Our Society. NYU Press. p. 232. .

Currently pornification redirects here, but it should be the other way. --WriterArtistDC (talk) 18:31, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup after move

The entire "History" section can be deleted, since it is a history of porn, not pornification, which is a 21st century concept.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 19:00, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removed history, which contained the OR and lack of focus, so also removed maintenance tags.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 23:00, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removed content not related to cited source

Content that I had previously deleted as trivial and unsourced has been restored, with the addition of a citation that has nothing to do with the content, so I have again removed it. The new reference is about opposition to actual porn, not the pornification of mainstream culture.

I am sure there are sources that could be used to support content on the Evangelical viewpoint on pornification, but that would require thought. WriterArtistDC (talk) 02:23, 15 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
