Bold textQuion Architecture has been used throughout the ages adding colourful character to buildings. Design and strength can be added by laying rectangular blocks of stone or brick to the corners of buildings.

edit = rm "cornerstones"
rationale = confusing, as the cornerstone is *one* stone, whereas quoins on a building are many.

edit = rm sentence about rustic masonry situated low down in a building.
rationale = These layers extend away from the corners, so this information as presented -- while good and useful to know -- probably belongs on another WP page.
