Hello Hugo, would you mind checking whether this electorate really existed from 1890-93? I can't see it in any of the results reported in the newspapers. Schwede66 09:06, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Forename Searby not Samuel acc. to my photocopy of Wilson (not all, but a lot!) Wilson has Rangitata: S. Buxton 1887-90 then W. S. Maslin 1893-96. So not 1890-93 ie from 1890 election? But he has Buxley as defeated 3.10.1890 but no mention of him as defeated for another seat. As he does for AEG Rhodes who was MP for Geraldine 1890-93 but defeated for Pareora (8.11.93) - he says Defeated (Pareora)
