I removed an uncited claim that he was the son of Gerard ", and Hildegard (or Matilda) [more likely Rotrude, see Gerard, Count of Auvergne and Louis the Pious], daughter of Louis the Pious and Ermengard."

I have no idea which of these is correct, but I am unaware of any evidence that Count Gerard married any of these women (his only known wife being a daughter of Pepin I of Aquitaine), and the French wiki agrees with me.Just a Rube (talk) 20:35, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
