Broken Leg

He must of broke his leg at first base on August 21, 1977 because according to Baseball Reference somebody was at second base when he singled, so he must of broke his leg sliding into first base beating out an infield hit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.34.211 (talk) 01:28, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Age

Stennett's birth year back to his playing days was listed as 1951. The Pittsburgh Pirates' recent memorial tweet said "1949-2021," and referenced 72 years old. But, his Society for American Baseball Research bio still lists his birth year as 1951. His mlb.com page still lists his birth year as 1951.

This article has now changed his birth year from 1951 to 1949. That year is sourced to his Baseball-Reference statistical page. His biographical page at the same site, though, still says 1951:

So, I don't think it's clear yet that Stennett's birth year has been misreported for 50 years.Arnold Rothstein1921 (talk) 13:54, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
