Retirement

Did he earn enough money from the famous "Spy Who Loved Me" ski-jump to retire? He seems to have stopped working in the movie biz after that (and is presumably still alive, unlike so many other stuntmen). -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 21:44, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I climbed a little with Rick in the mid-80s in Yosemite and he was not doing any active stunt work at the time. I believe he got heavily into BASE jumping and there was a rumour floating around he had been killed in Norway, but it turned out to be false. I too climbed a bit with him in Yosemite but late '60s -early 70's . He was a very good climber. Camp 4 circles considered his "stunts" off base yet we were proud, especially of his making it into the movies. Claude Suhl 70.209.130.20 (talk) 01:01, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
