WP:BLP and Rodney Pattisson
I have labelled the 3 Rodney Pattisson entries at our Scottish Olympic medallists article with the {{dubious}} template. Please see Talk:Scottish Sports Hall of Fame. --Mais oui! (talk) 14:28, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
removal from hall of fame
I emailed the Hall of Fame and got this
Dear Sir or Madam
Many thanks for your email.
Apologies there has been a mistake in not having Rodney Pattison's name removed from the name search.
Mr Pattisson agreed to be inducted into the Scottish Sport Hall of Fame in 2002 and was eligible because he was born in Scotland. However, it was reported late last year that that Mr Pattisson had misgivings about being an inductee and, when contacted about this matter, said he wished to be withdrawn. The Hall of Fame panel met and agreed to withdraw Mr Pattisson as it fully respects the wishes of the athlete. We have now amended the website to reflect that.
Many thanks,
Louise — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.186.117.36 (talk) 13:44, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
