The Roman de Fauvel is a book of social satire, much of which is set to music or accompanied by musical pieces. While its importance to the history of music is undeniable, to its contemporaries the contents was of the primary importance. Yet the article as it now stands makes no mention of the tenor of the work (pun intended), concentrating exclusively on the musical aspect. It is written from the POV of the music historian; what it needs is a section written by a regular historian.Freederick 01:04, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I find this kind of funny, actually, because I wrote this article while I was in a music history class, and I based this article off of the textbook. But I suppose one-sided information is better than no information. AdamBiswanger1 18:54, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added a references section, and then noticed that the two inline citations are blank. Does anyone know why this is?

Gervais du Bus' names was spelled as "de Bus," but Brittanica and other authoritative sources spell it as "du Bus." I changed it to conform to what appears to be more generally accepted spelling. There was also a link in the name to a Wikipedia article, but spelled either way, the link does not function and leads to the "Crete New Topic" page. Strangely, there is an article on du Bus in French on Wikipédia, but his last name spelled either way will not call up the article as it should.
