His claim to notability is having been chief justice of Bengal, and it may be that more sources can be found to establish his notability, but so far there is no evidence of the required

• Oppose -- The fact that he was given a baronetcy surely indicates that he was considered notable in his own time. Bengal was one of the three Presidencies of India, so that this was not a minor post. It is often difficult to judge the merits of an article while it is still a stub.
