"It's a power-play goal!"

When did this actually become Sam's trademark phrase? The article says he first used it in November of 1984 after John Davidson urged him to be more colorful. Except that the article also says that JD didn't start working with Sam until 1986, so something is clearly wrong. Cheapestcostavoider (talk) 18:20, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The story of "it's a power play goal!" is NOT accurate. Sam was saying this as far back as when he was paired with Esposito. Just watch old videos on YouTube.
