Sameer Anjaan (lyricist) → Sameer Anjaan – no point in using brackets as no other notable person with the same name exists Cinema Clown (talk) 21:37, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:53, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The real question is whether the title should be
Sameer (lyricist) or Sameer Anjaan --В²C 22:07, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply

Throughout his career, he has been credited as both "Sameer" and "Sameer Anjaan." His verified Twitter page has only "Sameer" as the display name (note: the username is sameeranjaan), while his verified Facebook page has "Sameer Anjaan." Here are the reasons why I think "Sameer Anjaan" should be the preferred title: a) His Guinness World Records entry lists him as "Sameer Anjaan." b) His birth name is Shitla Pandey. Sameer is a pseudonym. Lyricist Anjaan was his father. I do think using your father's name beside your own pseudonym establishes the fact that he indeed wishes to be known like that. Why credit him as "Sameer Anjaan" if he himself hasn't used that in the first place? Cinema Clown (talk) 05:26, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
