The claims of the origins in the history section are unsubstantiated, I've added citation tags. These facts need to be supported or they should be removed since I have documented contrary information about the origins of sea lanes, which I will add shortly (with refs).

It's still not clear who decided of the sea lanes, neither when nor where.--
