Disputes

Someone please clean up the page to eliminate the "hearts of the Soviet people" and similar junk. This is an encyclopedia. Facts only, please.

  • It is a fact. Perhaps you should do some research. Read the lyrics, you would understand. Slivester 07:09, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • OK, if "and Lenin will always live amongst the heart of the peoples." is a quote from the lyrics (why is it necessary?), please format is as a quote, not as article text.
  • Thats the meaning of the song, not the lyrics. Slivester 06:35, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • Whatever it is, it's a metaphor. Metaphors by definition cannot be neutral, so they have no place in Wikipedia text except in direct quotes.
  • As a form of system to convey the message of the song, and to remain true to what the song was composed for. Perhaps you have some concrete suggestions. Untill something better replaces it, that will remain. Slivester 13:44, 6 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Do Not Advance in Years Dusoi Veterans" sounds like a joke. Can you propose a better translation?

  • Was a draft translation, replaced. Slivester 07:10, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • Sorry this is not any better. "Dusoi" is a form of "dusha", soul. It's not some kind of a name.
  • Perhaps you may wish to suggest a better alternative. For all I knew it meant "the stories of Dusoi veterans." Slivester 06:35, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • I'm pretty sure this is wrong. Please find a native Russian speaker to help you with this.
  • Someone else will have to do the proper translation, whether is it a native Russian or not, I have provided with my very brief translation, of which you claimed to have contain errors. Slivester 13:47, 6 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
