Moore was not the acting head coach for the Michigan State game. Only the Bowling Green game counts on his head coaching record. The Penn State, Maryland, and Ohio State games, for which Moore was indeed the acting head coach on gameday, count toward Jim Harbaugh's record. 3rd Base

Nobody exemplifies being “born on 3rd base” more than a new coach taking over for national championship coach. 24.8.12.102 (talk) 05:16, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, I wonder who it was that coached that two-time Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line that’s been the bedrock of Michigan’s turnaround since the COVID year. Oh, and remind me who stepped in as acting coach for Michigan’s biggest three games of regular season in 2023. Someone is very bad at analogies and also doesn’t know how to use this talk page.Jweiss11 (talk) 05:36, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sherrone Moore is 4-0 as a Head Coach not 1-0. He won a game against Bowling Green in the 3rd game of the 2023 season while Jim Harbaugh was serving his first suspension, then he went 3-0 the last 3 games of the 2023 season when Jim was serving his second suspension. I’m by no means a Michigan fan, ironically I’m an Ohio State fan, but I think it’s wrong to falsify someone’s accomplishments, no matter how much I might dislike them. 2600:1009:B0C4:1A8E:31EA:AB91:C644:4740 (talk) 14:30, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Check the notes on the head coaching records. Only the Bowling Green game is officially counted toward Moore's record. The Penn State, Maryland, and Ohio State games are officially credited to Harbaugh's record; see https://stats.ncaa.org/people/2907494 and https://stats.ncaa.org/people/25070. 1-0? Shouldn’t his record be 4-0?

He was interm for one of three suspension games early in the season and interm in all three suspension games at the end of the season. That’s 4 wins 24.246.169.170 (talk) 22:13, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@24.246.169.170: Read the "notes" section or hover over the footnote adjacent to the scores in the infobox. His record officially, per NCAA is 1–0. Harbaugh is credited with those three wins, even though Moore was interim coach. --Engineerchange (talk) 22:53, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
