Redirect

There seems to be some edit-warring over whether

Shia would be redirected to the Shia Islam page. --Russ (talk) 13:28, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply

What edit war? The last time the
Shia article was edited was ten days ago, and that was just reverting a pair of persistent vandals. --Kralizec! (talk) 13:43, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply

Looking at the edit history, it seemed there had been a couple of attempts to redirect the page, which had been reverted (not necessarily within the last few days). However, the editor doing it had not bothered to actually create a disambiguation page, and it certainly would be a mistake to lose the disambiguation content entirely. --Russ (talk) 13:48, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
While I am not sure I would call two edits from a month ago by a grumpy IP an
Shia is the correct location for the disambiguation page as this spot is not already occupied by an article. --Kralizec! (talk) 13:58, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply

OK, fine, "edit war" was too strong. And I agree that if there is no primary topic, the current name of the disambiguation page is correct. The point on which I was hoping to generate some discussion is whether
primary topic for this title. --Russ (talk) 14:16, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply

Ah, you mean to redirect
Just do it! --Kralizec! (talk) 14:31, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply

I would support that, now it's on
WP:RM; but I have no objection to letting the usual few days pass first to see if anybody cares. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 22:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply
