Today I find two locations on this page given for Shirley. The first one is given in the infobox and is 42°32'37"N, 71°39'0"W, or about at the intersection of Washington and Chapel Streets in Shirley Village. The second one is 42°35'5"N, 71°38'50"W, or about at the intersection of Parker Road and Great Road. The second one is referenced to the "US Gazetteer files: 2000 and 1990". Following that link, I found I had a choice between searching raw 2000 data files or using the 1990 search engine. I chose the second alternative. This provided three locations: one location obtained by searching on the zip code 01464, and two locations obtained by searching on "Shirley, MA". The zip code location was located on the Benjamin Hill sledding slope (42.558653°N, 71.646444°W). The other two locations were for "Shirley, MA (cdp)" (42.54200°N, 71.65292°W; about in Fredonian Park) and "Shirley, MA (county subdivision)" (42.57213°N, 71.64956°W; about at the Civil War Monument in Shirley Center). None of these locations matched the locations given on the page. Of the three locations found at the Gazetteer link, I decided to go with the zip code location on Benjamin Hill. It is hard to choose between this location and Shirley Center, but my impression is it is closer to the center of population and the geographic center of town. The file containing the Shirley seal image, File:Shirley, MA Seal.jpg, was deleted on January 6, 2007, due to problems with the copyright status. For it to be used, it needs to be uploaded by someone who can grant an appropriate license on behalf of the town. I have removed the reference in the meantime.
