Discussion

I added some details and cleaned up some of the unclear things, but I haven't watched WWE closely so someone else with more knowledge could be helpful. - Anonymous, 3 January 2006

Not to poke fun but funaki is well noted in his career by being thrown out of the ring within seconds of entering it by larger wresters, he was tossed out 4 or 5 time during 2000 royal rumble which he was never actually in, and at several points later on during feuds between managemnet and wrestlers he would be tossed out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.139.83.70 (talk) 14:58, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The title reign information people continue to post is not correct. It should be taken down.

Funaki now works at B G Crepes off of Bandera Rd. and 1604 in San Antonio, TX.
Can this be vandalism by 68.206.108.218 if it's on a Talk page? I do have something constructive to add though. This might be my memory misremembering it, but didn't Funaki move to Texas because he was a big fan of Shawn Michaels? Pakopako (talk) 14:43, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It states that he won the World Heavyweight Championship whilst in WWE/F in his list of wrestling titles. This surely cannot be correct. I can't seem to cite it anywhwere — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.224.82.138 (talk) 20:35, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shoichi FunakiFunaki (wrestler) – I don't think he's really known for anything he's accomplished under his full name. Kung Fu Naki was very short lived, and doesn't sway the common name away from Funaki. GeicoHen (talk) 01:49, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose 1, Masakatsu Funaki , also pro wrestler. 2, he also wrestled in WWF as Sho Funaki and Kung Fu Naki. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 12:27, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Plenty of other work with his first name (either Sho or Shoichi). WWE likely dropped it for perceived pronunciation reasons, but it's not like they pretended he had another. And yeah, Masakatzu. InedibleHulk (talk) 12:37, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Wikipedia guidelines, which state parenthetical disambiguators should not be used when a more natural disambiguator is available. A first name is exactly the sort of thing to which they refer. And Sho Funaki is not the only wrestler by the name, as noted. oknazevad (talk) 15:03, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
