Release date
I don't know whether I can come up with any documentation, but the film was first screened in 1990, not 1991. However the 1991 version was slightly different, so perhaps that's why that date is used. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 05:44, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ah! Found it in a 1991 review ([1]): "Since this review first ran in the summer of 1990, Slacker has been picked up for national distribution, blown up to 35mm and fine tuned in a few places." I'll add a cite when I have another minute. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 00:27, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
DVD release
Unfortunately the DVD was not released worldwide. Up to now there was no release in Germany, one of the biggeste DVD markets in Europe.

- There is nothing on YouTube, nor on the uploader's own website, that indicates this is a permitted, licensed, and/or otherwise legitimate use of the work. (I've never heard of a "YouTube endorsed vendor," and couldn't find anything about that on YouTube.) Granted, if it isn't legit, it's hard to understand how someone would get away with this while maintaining such a high profile. If we have evidence that this YouTube upload is indeed legit, then all we really need is a simple
