Lie and manipulation

Quote: "According to 10th-century De Administrando Imperio, the Serbs hailed from White Serbia (or "Boiki"), "the neighbour of Francia", having settled in the Balkans during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Heraclius (610–641) when the Serb Archon, one of two heirs, had led part of his tribe and claimed protection of the Emperor."

There is no historical written document that mentions White Serbia, Most of the sources are not reliable (WP:RS), or just don't talk about White Serbia - indicating WP:OR(!). This quote does not belong in Wikipedia, because it is false and manipulation.

White Serbs

The claim was that they're named as White Serbs in "modern historiography". That should be referenced. --j.budissin (talk) 16:15, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thematic rather than chronological

Inspired by a discussion at WT:WikiProject Middle Ages, the Serbian Wikipedia article sr:Лужички Срби у раном средњем веку covers the same ground as this one, but with a thematic organization of the sections, rather than a purely chronological one, as here. Here is a link to that article in automatic translation into English, with the translated title, "Lusatian Serbs in the Early Middle Ages". Taking this a step further, I've created a possible new organization for this article, based on interactions with ChatGPT and informed by these two articles. It can be found at subpage /Sorbs in the early Middle Ages. Mathglot (talk) 00:17, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's a good idea. Ty. — Sadko (words are wind) 01:28, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Mathglot What you have posted here sums up our discussion about this matter.
My goal was initially to have this more expanded and thematic approach to the topic rather than chronological. Let's see what others have to say before we decide which approach to take.

I'm not sure we'll get much feedback at this page, although the link from Middle Agea WikiProject page might generate some interest. Mathglot (talk) 07:28, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
