Caldwell's "A comparative grammar of the Dravidian or South-Indian family of languages" deals with the languages families of south India. His claim was that the south Indian languages were different from the north Indian, and hence that the south Indians were culturally different from the north. He never claimed that the south Indians were genetically different from the north Indians. User:Bharatveer's proof for claiming Caldwell was "erroneous" is a reference from the The Hindu news paper article dealing with the genetic makeup of India. I don't understand! The Hindu article is about the genetic makeup of India. It is not my opinion. It is there in black and white. Caldwell did not say south Indians were genetically different. The article called Dravidian culture which I wrote, I suggested be merged with this. Now I have decided that this will not be appropriate as that article is more historical, hence I will rename it 'Ancient Dravidian culture'. --Avedeus (talk) 00:17, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of South Indian culture's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
