Effects?

"being known in the past for having an intricate set of effects units"
Details would be nice. --BjKa (talk) 12:14, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, consensus on musician articles generally has been to omit "gear lists" and other technical details that are more suited for specialized publications like guitar magazines. The sources I used don't go into much detail anyway—guys like this usually keep their rig and configurations as trade secrets. It's just known that he used to tour and record with quite intricate setups. --Laser brain (talk) 14:33, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Completely messed up timeline

'In an interview with online publication "Guitarhoo!" he said: "I had a music teacher in grammar school that made me play the violin. It was 1965. I had been playing guitar for a year (after the Beatles changed our lives), and they had NO use for a guitar player."[1] He then played keyboards and drums, and then taught himself how to play the guitar starting at age seven'

So, he had been playing guitar for a year, THEN played violin, THEN played keyboards and drums, and THEN began to play the guitar?! GeneCallahan (talk) 03:02, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know who added that, but I restored the paragraph to how it was when the article passed FAC. If he played the violin as a child, it doesn't seem notable in any way and simply trivia. --Laser brain (talk) 03:27, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff's Death

Why is the actual cause always obfuscated? Heart attack from atherosclerosis induced by years of cocaine use. "yard work" or pesticides, whether there or not, irrelevant — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.125.68.34 (talk) 18:56, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Connect the dots ... Steve Lukather -> Cheech and Chongs next movie -> Chongs Guitar Solo

As with most issues, I tend to be silent. On this one I note

1). Nothing here about this 'connection' 2). Similar disconnect on the Wikipedia article on the film

Not sure what the omission 'could' be attributed to but FYI.
