A room

Skära rummet. The adjective "skär" means pink and it has nothing to do with the noun "skära" (crescent). The -a ending depends on declension. "Skära rummet" is "The Pink Room" in English. "The Crescent Room" would be "Skärrummet" in Swedish. 94.255.248.64 (talk) 22:08, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some notes on the translation from the Swedish Wikipedia.

  • Most of all I have just translated, I have made very few alterations in the text itself which means that I found that some things are mentioned over and over again in different sections. It might be the practice on SvWP to have all relevant info in each section, but I’m not sure it is the way to do it here. Some pruning may be relevant.
  • I struggled a bit about the façade vs. facade, different browsers gave different suggestions for the spelling, so I settled for the spelling in the EnWP article
    Facade
    .
  • I retained the refs from the original article, only wrote them in "cite template" manner and added some were refs were lacking. Some refs were dead links, but a bit of searching found their new urls, so all but one could be kept.
  • Most of the names for halls, rooms or parts of the palace have accepted, English names. Most can be found on the website of the Royal Court or the National Property Board of Sweden, but there are some that I could not find so I had to make my own translation of them. If you see a name that you know the right English version for please change it! The website of the Royal Court uses the plural about most Apartments, so I followed suite. w.carter-Talk 23:16, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Remove maps

I have tried to figure out how to remove the superfluous maps in the info box which only take up space, adding nothing of value to the article. Anyone who wants to know where Stockholm is can easily check that in that article, and we don't need cluttered language like the Stockholm Palace under those maps. Can someone please address this?
