Aligator Hunting Article

I feel that given this show, an article on Alligator Hunting is merited. The article on alligators does not cover this, and this is a topic which we really have nothing about in Wikipedia. -- Erroneuz1 (talk) 15:33, 9 April 2011 (UTC) Watch Swamp People closely you can learn everything theres is to know about Aligator Hunting--welcome me to da swamp I"ll show a thing or 2 where I come / northern ontario canada--aheeee — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.135.10.150 (talk) 19:59, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Split Proposal

I believe that the tables for the episodes in this article should be created into a seperate "list" class article. It seems a bit odd that the episodes are listed on the main page for the article as no other TV program I have seen on here does this, especially one as popular as this and with 26 episodes already. It is inevitible that this show will continue, given its popularity and ratings, and these lists will only continue to grow. I suggest that this action be carried out so the article can concentrate on building itself and filling itself with more relevant information about the show, perhaps even a synopsis section(the season episode synopsis's would remain, but the episodes transferred), better review section, ect. I would love to hear more opinions on the matter as I have never personally carried out such an action. --Mordecairule 15:59, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Split done - Was fairly easy, linked the new episode list. The season descriptions need some work though. --Mordecairule 18:13, 9 August 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mordecairule (talkcontribs)

False Depiction

The History Channel pays these hunters $15,000.00 per episode and directs their actions for "entertainment value." I know this because my cousin has turned them down 3 times so far. What is depicted in the show is NOT "reality" at all. They are depicting the hunters as "dumb cajuns" and the thrashing about of alligators only happens if you don't know how to hunt properly OR if you are purposely torturing these animals for the cameras which is what I suspect is happening. It's not "reality television" at all. 99.186.112.21 (talk) 15:47, 2 September 2011 (UTC) C. Staley[reply]

The above is not true. The hunters do not receive $15,000 per episode and are not directed. Don't know who your cousin is but the show has never been turned down by anyone who has been offered a place on the cast. I know this because I work on the show, Cheers!
