Beijing

Beijing is most often refered to as Peking in Swedish. Time to add it? I do believe so.

Sources

There is a template here noting that the information here is unsourced. So it is; there's no footnotes with sources to any of the names. However, if you check them at the Swedish language Wikipedia, you'll see these names are used there. Preferably, this list should of course have reference sources anyway. -Ulla 14:32, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

why?

Who, other than their authors, looks at such pages? What's the use of an endless list of examples of the obvious fact that each language adapts foreign words to its own phonology? Why do we need a list of place-names in Swedish more than a list of spices or engine parts in Swedish? If you find such lists useful, please tell me how. —Tamfang (talk) 04:13, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I do, it helps me with not only my writing but also my historygraphy CarlsSston (talk) 14:57, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
