JCOMP class critique

The article is organized with the facts laid out in the first sentence. The presentation is understandable and simple. The article lacks a lead section or much content at all. The evidence is poor as the fact that Symplocaceae is native to Asia, Australia, and the America's is not cited nor is there any other information to confirm this assertion. The article does not completely lack citations though, as it does contain 1. The article lacks any descriptions about common features of this family, or its history which needs to be expanded on. There is only one photo in the article and it lacks any citation. This article could be expanded on by including details on the structure of the plants in the family, common features of the family, and perhaps economical or medicinal uses if there are any. @Cara1297880: yes, the article is a stub and needs expanding. Re your last point, the classification is the one used as the standard for all plant articles; there's no consensus any longer on how to divide up plants into divisions (the botanical equivalent of phyla) and classes. We use the APG IV system. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:26, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
