Date of first break up

If they broke up in 1974, how come there is video of them performing at Winterland (San Francisco, CA) on Aug 4, 1975? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.192.82 (talk) 20:20, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They had broken up. They were contractually obligated to complete a tour - and it was a sad event, my friend. Having seen them many times as a going concern, the disinterest that Alvin Lee showed on this tour was obvious, and the band were just going through the numbers.50.111.60.244 (talk) 03:42, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What?!?

This sentence does not make sense. "That November the quartet signed a manager, Chris Wright, and changed its name to Blues Trip, Blues Yard (they played a show at the Marquee Club supporting the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band)." Was the band's name Blues Trip, or Blues Yard or Blues Trip,Blues Yard? As I don't have any knowledge on this subject I'm not sure how to edit, but I feel it needs attended to.THX1136 (talk) 14:31, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the wording as it does not make sense, but more importantly has no cited source (see Wikipedia:Verifiability). Thanks,

I've added a reference for the various name changes. Not sure of the Elvis Presley link though. Several sources say they got the name from the Radio Times after seeing a programme listing for "Suez Crisis, ten years after".--Egghead06 (talk) 20:27, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

band name

The German version of this page has as its first reference the Alvin Lee Faq, which says: "Although many people think they meant "Ten Years After Elvis" or "Ten Years After the start of rock and roll", the band didn't really catch that until after they picked the name. How? They looked up the local radio listings and found one called Ten Years After (the end of the draft in the U.K.)." That sounds pretty definitive. Please change.

Never changed anything with that IP ADRESS please can you help me ?

No mention anywhere of "Ten Years Later"

I saw a refurbished Alvin Lee joint in Germany in 1979 calling itself Ten Years Later They did have an album in 1978 available on Youtube

Love Like a Man single release with mixed speeds Cite Needed

I found a listing at the UK ebay site - https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Ten-Years-After-Vinyl-Records/176985/bn_75583067 - for the single release. The listing states one side is 33 1/3 rpm and the other is 45 rpm. The single is on Deram and appears to be a UK release - having the smaller spindle hole in the vinyl itself instead of the US large hole which needed an adapter. Obviously not a source - or I don't know how to cite this as a source. Can this be used in response to the cite needed tag? Thanks.THX1136 (talk) 01:10, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I found a website that contains what appears to be a quote from Leo Lyons about the origin of the name. Figuring out how to cite it was a bit shaky as it looks like the location is nested inside a another site which appears to be acting as an aggregator for sources about the band and it's history.THX1136 (talk) 01:37, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

British!

I genuinely did not know they were a British band. Thank you Wikipedia! 90.249.136.231 (talk) 18:02, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
