Erroneous broadcast variation claims

This pages has long included urban myth that, "the first three episodes in a prime time slot failed to draw the required ratings so the last three episodes were in a much later slot before the show was cancelled." In fact, contemporary newspaper listing show that LWT, Granada, Anglia, Westward, Yorkshire, Border, Scottish, Tyne Tees, Channel, and Ulster all screened the series in the same Friday 21:00 timeslot throughout. The only variations were ATV and Grampian who moved to later timeslots from Episodes 2 and 3 respectively, and Southern which dropped the series entirely after Episode 1. HTV showed #1-5 on Saturdays at 22:10, only switching to 23:10 for Episode 6.
