As a Welsh song, there are Welsh-language lyrics for this song. Apparently their meaning is very different: according to the website Robokopp,[2] they tell a story of a princess whose father kills her lover and, accidentally, her as well, and she says she'd rather die than live a life of grief in the ash grove.
