Airing schedule for this season

Hello again, everyone! While creating this article, I added a category for 2020 network television shows that was contested and reverted by another editor. While I appreciate the

good faith
intentions around the removal of that category, this season will have a total of 14 episodes, one of which is set to be an hour-long finale to wrap things up. Additionally, there are just 14 Thursdays remaining for this year. This means that if, as has traditionally been the case, NBC preempts normal primetime programming in favor of special programming for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and especially Christmas and New Years' Eve/New Years' Day 2020, unless NBC airs two episodes of the show on some of those Thursdays, there is absolutely no way that all episodes of the show will finish airing before the New Year.

I understand (and even appreciate) the general notion that adding an unverified category to any page may violate

this policy, among others, but given the precedents set by the prior 3 seasons of the show, which all featured a cliffhanger mid-season ending, I feel there is more than enough grounds to conclude that the show will not finish airing until sometime during 2020. To me, it is just a simple matter of logic. But because I also know Wikipedia is not a one-man operation, I wanted to post about this issue here for the community to make a call about the category in question, and I will stand by the decision of the consensus, whatever that might wind up being. Based on the recent explanation in a subsequent revert by AussieLegend, I now have a more complete understanding of why the category should not be included, which perfectly resolves the concerns I expressed above. I would therefore like to apologize for any trouble I may have caused over this issue, and would be perfectly fine if no further discussion on this is needed. Thanks again, everyone! --Jgstokes (talk) 05:51, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
