The film received generally bad reviews which, I think, largely miss the point. Sophie Gilbert in "The Most Unadaptable Book in Fiction", picked up on the core issue "This world is so destabilized that language itself has become untrustworthy, and even the simplest of facts cannot stand. There’s no single truth to rely on" (The Atlantic).

This begins with the title itself, "The Last Thing He Wanted" is aging Dick McMahon's "card so high and wild he'll never need another". But the last thing he wanted was for both him and his daughter to wind up dead.

And around 1:21 into the film we see that Elena's mastectomy was of the left breast, her right is perfectly fine (I presume Netflix tracks the most visited sections of each film). Later around 1:41 we see her getting dressed and padding one of her bra cups. She is looking into a mirror but the attentive viewer will notice that it's the right cup. Unlike "The Game of Thrones" coffee cup, which was just plain wrong, this one isn't down to the continuity supervisor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.57.222.29 (talk) 09:52, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong. The attentive viewer would pick up on the fact that it is the mirror being shot, therefore it is still the left side. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:18C:4301:2880:7002:1863:9CF8:D957 (talk) 02:47, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
