Why is the word "shepherd" capitalized? I suggest to move this article to The Lord's my shepherd (hymn) or, if the first line is considered a title, to The Lord's My Shepherd. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 03:57, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Shepherd" is capitalised because it's in

That's not my reading of MOS:TITLECAPS which stipulates that pronouns (and adjectives) are to be capitalized (so whether "my" is one or the other doesn't matter). Another related hymn that uses "My" in its title is "

Yup, I guess you're right. "The Lord's My Shepherd" would be correct after all. It looks ridiculous to me, but I am probably used to other style guides which don't capitalise pronouns, so it would have to fit in the the Wikipedia Style Guide. Or style guide.
