There's a sentance I wrote;

"The New Times is unusual in being fully independent of the State. In contemporary Russia, almost all other mass media (television, newspapers, etc) are either directly or indirectly controlled by the State."

This was removed on the basis of POV.

I assert that the statement is factual. Almost all mass media in Russia have been taken over the State. This is well known; for example, go look at the TV station ownership. TNT is independent; self-owned and does it's best to ignore or resist the threats and bureacratic harrassment that it has been receiving for its stories.

I rephrased that due to POV and fact that there are various opposition newspapers (not TV) in Russia: to mention

Actually it is. It's a journal, its chief editor and publisher being Irena Lesnevskaya, former owner of REN TV 81.195.10.150 18:12, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
