Rose
It's been removed now so a dedicated page could be set up, but according to the previous edit "Rosay (is) originally from Tunbridge Wells in Kent". Is she? There doesn't appear to be any reference to this online.
Removed Info
And why have we lost Rose's surname and also Gwenno's from the article? Dougall and Saunders respectively, no?
I deleted them when I set the individual pages up for the girls because it's fairly specialised information, although as I'd kept the real names of the Cassettes in I was probably wrong to do so, although someone's edited them back in now anyway. Thesaint06 22:55, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
I dont see any need to say that "rose tends to get the most male attention", this is irrelevent. Someone delete it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.105.229.94 (talk • contribs)
Stub-sorting. You can help!
I've added {{UK-singer-stub}} to the three singer's bios - this isn't a criticism of the articles but they do need expansion if anyone feels the urge. The article on
Members
Is there any need for the 'Members' section on the main article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pipettes#Members)? All names and roles in the band are listed in the band's infobox. Pullshapes 17:15, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Cassette v Cassettes
The backing band is indisputably called "The Cassette" and not "The Cassettes", both in all official documentation and by the band themselves in interviews. I appreciate the urge to change it to "The Cassettes" as Pipettes/Cassettes sounds "right", but this is incorrect. —
- As recently as the SXSW Music Festival 2007, the band announced the backing band as "The Cassettes". I have included this information in the "ref" on the page itself which documented the interview mention of "The Cassette". Given this apparent disagreement/dispute, I will seek out physical documentation in Pipettes materials that can be referenced in the article. Tantek (talk) 15:35, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, Ani is Gwenno's sister. She introduced herself (in person after the show) as Gwenno's sister at their promo gig at ]
updated image for new line-up
I updated the image using a PD photo (that I took and contributed to Wikimedia Commons) since the previous image update from User: Desktopgirl appears to have been taken from a copyrighted source http://www.wireimage.com ("Copyright © 2008 WireImage (A division of Getty Images, Inc.) All Rights Reserved."). While perhaps the image from User: Desktopgirl is prettier, I submit that it is preferable to have an image showing the band "in action" as it were rather than just posing, especially for a movie which is only tangentially related. I will not revert User: Desktopgirl's reversion of my update, and will instead leave this to the judgment of other editors, or perhaps the expiration of the copyright warning on the image upload from User: Desktopgirl. Thoughts or opinions? Tantek (talk) 02:00, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
External link suggestion: A look back at We Are the Pipettes
As an editor at Crawdaddy!, and to comply with COI guidelines, I am not posting the link to this article taking a look back at the Pipettes' We Are the Pipettes. However, I would like to recommend it on its merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the article and—if he or she sees fit—post it to the external links section. I appreciate your time. ]
Origin of name
Could not find online anything concrete about the origin of the band's name. As usual in such matters, there are many myths and a lot of hearsay but little of substance. We need something more reliable. (Incidentally, the noun pipette in French means "little pipe", and, in slang, "small blowjob". So, there is perhaps some playful double entendre, there. I'm saying this because the explanation currently contained in the article comes off like

"members" timeline table
I'm not very keen on that table. I mean, it's a good idea, but it's not very well implemented (IMHO). I was thinking I might replace it with one of the below. Does anyone have any thoughts/preferences on this? If no-one is opposed to it I'll probably be

why is there a need for a members timeline?
for godsake, it's a stupid idea and people can easily know who has left and who hasn't from the information already provided. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.49.209 (talk) 16:04, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
