I don't know about you guys, but I'm not sure this film qualifies as Weird West. There's nothing supernatural or science-fictiony about little people, nor are they ever portrayed as such in the film. And there aren't any other fantasy, horror, or science fiction elements either. Apart from the proportions of the cast and the somewhat odd framing device, it's a fairly standard musical western.
