Samples

I just restored this Push It reference (which, for some unexplained reason, someone removed). I have in turn removed the resemblance to Timberlake's song, because, being Timbaland co-writer and producer of the later, that makes hardly any news that he is true to his musical foundations.
However, the S'N'P sample should be looked into. Is it credited? royalties paid? that synth is IDENTICAL! Mountolive group using a loop of another pop group 05:44, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

randomly stumbled across this again, and saw that the reference was removed at some point again. the "push it" page still says it's sampled in this song (at the time of this writing) with no disputes; googling turned up surprisingly little in the way of people drawing that connection. to me it's fairly obvious that it's almost a direct rip, and since there appears to be no direct credit i would think some bit about "strongly resembles" would be entirely appropriate as a reference to make. thoughts? They're symbolic. The on going "game" between the two lovers.

Orphaned references in The Way I Are

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Way I Are's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
