Huh?

Is this article mixing up information on more than one man? --evrik 15:28, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Saint?

I note that the photo caption refers to the subject as a "saint". Is this a formal designation within the Assyrian Church, and if so, is there any sort of list of individuals who have been designated as saints by the church? thank you. John Carter 19:20, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Saint?" again, and image

I agree with John Carter that the designation of "Saint" should be checked. He is certainly not a saint in the Oriental Orthodox churches (i.e. Coptic, Armenian, etc.), having been a staunch opponent of St. Cyril of Alexandria. In the Eastern Orthodox church (i.e. Chalcedonian) some of his works were condemned, but his memory is held in high regard as an adept theologian. Still, he is not considered a saint.

Also, the image on the page is not of Theodoret; it is of St. Paul. Horatio325 23:11, 3 September 2007 (UTC) Nick Marinides[reply]

Agree, it's Paul - not Theodoret. This is St. Paul. Mosaic in Istanbul - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3124/2312578698_cb71f49ddd.jpg 95.72.100.101 (talk) 20:32, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I restored the image because I thought the deletion was vandalism. Only afterwards did I realize that there was a reason for the image deletion, so I re-deleted the image. When doing stuff like deleting images, please leave an edit summary. Even a very brief one like "See Talk Page" will alert other editors that the image deletion has a good justification and is not just random vandalism. Thanx. --Richard (talk) 21:52, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
