I intend to change the death date from 241 to 243. I can't find an independent source for the 241 date, but Oxford reference says 243. Metellus is supposed to have been pontifex maximus during the consulship of Postumius in 242 when he kept him from fighting in Sicily because he had priestly responsibilities in Rome (Valerius Maximus 1.1.2). So, Metellus would have to have succeeded Coruncanius before that.
Any objections?

There's no reference for 241. 243 is the most supposable date as the chronology of Pontifices suggests that. The RE says "propably 243", too. --Der Maxdorfer (talk; de.wiki) 07:37, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
