This was deleted from this article. This is a significant operation in Minnesota and needs to be linked to from one of the articles. It is not my policy to press edits so I should welcome a suggestion as to where it should be linked from since any article needs links from the hierarchy of articles so that they can be found.

Hello, and thanks for your note. I deleted this because from the information available, it is a school bus company, of which there are many in Minnesota. The article from which I deleted it does not deal with specialized transportation such as school buses. As I understand Wikipedia policy external links should be few in number, and while I am do not doubt that Palmer is an important company in its field it did not seem particularly relevant or notable to the article's subject. But if you want to discuss it further maybe we could move it to the talk page of the article and see what others think. Thanks.

Thank you for this helpful reply. I agree with you about minimising external links. However, this is an internal link and practice is to mximise relevant internal links both to enhance the structure of the encyclopaedia and to attract editors to them. I'm actually not bothered where this article is linked from but it needs to be linked from somewhere. If it is not a notable enough company to be linked to then it is not notable enough for an article and it should be AfD'd. I have no strong views, and because of this conversation I would abstain in any AfD discussion.

On reflection, the Bus section could easilly take expansion. Rather than tacking this company on as a See also another way forward would be to add a short paragraph along the lines of:

"In addition to municipal bus systems, there are a number of privately run companies providing specilised services such as

Palmer Bus Company

, the 36th largest in the country, who specialise in education transportation."

This would allow the addition of other specialised operators and, if/when the section grows too much, it can be broken out into a subsidiary article in the normal WP manner. How does this sound as a way forward?

A concern may be whether other school bus operators, charter operators, trucking companies, etc. may also want "equal time". Take a look at
