I hope so. Also, citation needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.240.4.1 (talk) 10:24, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok, so shouldn't this be classified under terrorist organisation or something? Soathana (talk) 11:44, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

- Look dude. The web-site's name doguturkistan.net translates into "eastturkistan.net" - East Turkistan is in China. Extremist web-sites cannot be cited to give the impression that it is a hundred percent confirmed fact. All I am saying is that it would be better if we could use some impartial books on the Cyprus issue as sources. Eastturkistan.net has nothing to do with this, they could be simply trying to "recuparate" political points by connecting itself with TMT. I am not saying they did or didn't use any particular symbol, but you cannot simply say "ultra-nationalist pan-turkist" where as the EOKA-B article, an organization that was recognized as terrorist not only by TR but also UK, has this for the intro "EOKA-B was a Greek Cypriot right-wing pro-enosis paramilitary organisation formed in 1971 that ..." See the difference in tone? That's all.. Baristarim 18:43, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Tried to rewrite the intro, will try to contact other users for a restructuring of the article and creation of "background, organization, acts, timeline and aftermath" sections. Baristarim 19:27, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

]Rauf Denktas and Zafer Kibrisli Turkeridir
On 13 September 2014, @HelSpenser: added two paragraphs[1]- his only contribution to en.Wikipedia so far. The first paragaph states something incorrect. I can't verify what is said in the second paragraph and I would kindly ask if someone could offer some help.
- At the first paragraph, is stated that R. Denktas admitts that TMT was responsible for the bomb, even though he never mentions TMT. Instead he names a friend, whose name won't reviel that placed the bomb. Most probable he was a member of TMT but that is just my assumtion. Denktas was clever enough not to blame the TMT.
- At the second paragraph, an article in an unknown -at least to me-Turkish Cypriot newspaper is cited . I have never heard of it before, and if someone could do some backround check, I 'd appriciate.talk) 10:59, 30 April 2018 (UTC)]
- Thanks for your attention. You are absolutely right - in addition, we have to consider WP:PRIMARY as well. We cannot have a YouTube video as a source for such a topic, at least a newspaper article or preferably an academic source is required. This topic is covered by a couple of other sources, although none definitively implicate the TMT - see the article on Bayraktar Mosque.
- There is no newspaper called "Zafer Kıbrıslı Türklerindir". There was one called "Zafer" published in the period [2]. However, I don't think that "Zafer Kıbrıslı Türklerindir" is an alternative name for that. Furthermore, considering the political environment at the time, I find the supposed headline very improbable and the whole statement very dubious; it has been tagged to request verification for some time now anyway. Questions of WP:PRIMARY apply anyway - such murders can and should be described using better sources. As such, it would be more appropriate for this sentence to be removed or replaced. --GGT (talk) 00:48, 1 May 2018 (UTC)]

"In Reality No One Was Asleep" by Ismael Tansu
Why is there no mention here of one of the most important sources on the history of the TMT--the book by Ismael Tansu. Tansu worked for the STK (Seferberlik Taktik Kurulu [Tactical Mobilization Committee]) in Turkey, under Brigadier General Daniş Karabelen. In his book he describes how he created the "Plan for Recapturing Cyprus" [Kıbrıs İstirdat Planı] which involved the creation of a “special warfare” organisation that would utilise the Turkish Cypriot population of Cyprus, but be led by Turkish army officers. (See Ismail Tansu, In Reality No One Was Asleep: A Secret Underground Organization, with State Support? TMT, translated by Ayhan Sutcuoglu [Afghanistan, n.d.]. Turkish Edition: Aslnda hic kimse uyumuyordu: TMT [Ankara 2001].) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nychtopouli (talk • contribs) 11:46, 16 November 2019 (UTC) Nychtopouli (talk) 11:49, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
